The Wind
While predicting the wind in Southern Califonia can be a bit tricky here is what we have
learned over the past few years. The best San Diego forecast can be found at NOAA.GOV.
If you are thinking about riding LA check out ikitesurf then check to see if there is any
south west in the wind. If it starts to go South look for an Increase by 1:00. If it's
not blowing by then it's best not to leave work early. If you thinking of heading towards
Baja, the most reliable forecast is Buoyweather.com.
The light, consistent wind makes San Diego the ideal place to learn how to kiteboard,
while it's proximity to the Summer winds an hour north and the year long winds in Baja a couple
hours south means our location in Socal is perfect for intermediate and advanced riders..
